The Super Eagles of Nigeria have released their 23-man squad list ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in October 2025, where they will battle Lesotho and Benin Republic.

Head coach Eric Chelle unveiled a strong mix of seasoned internationals and rising talents as the team begins its journey towards the Mundial.
In goal, Stanley Nwabali, Amas Obasogie, and Adebayo Adeleye will provide options between the sticks.
The defensive unit will be marshalled by captain William Troost-Ekong, with support from Semi Ajayi, Calvin Bassey, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Felix Agu, Bruno Onyemaechi, and youngster Benjamin Fredrick.
Nigeria’s midfield will be anchored by Wilfred Ndidi, Alex Iwobi, Frank Onyeka, and Alhassan Yusuf, a blend of creativity, grit, and tactical balance.
The attack looks particularly fearsome, boasting Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, Moses Simon, Samuel Chukwueze, Terem Moffi, Cyriel Dessers, Tolu Arokodare, Ola Olusegun, and debutant Akor Adams, who earns his first-ever call-up after his impressive club form.
The Super Eagles will open their campaign away to Lesotho on October 10, 2025, before returning home to host Benin on October 14, 2025. Both fixtures are seen as pivotal as Nigeria aim to kick off their qualification journey in commanding fashion.
