“Stop the Joke!” – Odumodublvck Drags Blaqbonez Over ‘Best Rapper’ Claim

The simmering rivalry between two of Nigeria’s prominent hip-hop voices, Odumodublvck and Blaqbonez, has erupted into a full-blown war of words, with Odumodublvck openly calling out his colleague for what he termed a “disrespectful” claim.

Tochukwu Ojogwu, better known as Odumodublvck, issued a fiery rebuke to Blaqbonez during an interview on Jusmen 105.7 FM, following fresh lyrical shots aimed at him on Blaqbonez’s recent collaboration with A-Q titled Who’s Really Rapping. The track, already making waves online, has reignited conversations around supremacy in Nigeria’s rap scene.

“Do you know what it means to say you’re the best rapper in Nigeria?” Odumodublvck asked during the interview. “Stop joking. M.I is the best rapper, Vector is the best rapper. If you were, you would’ve won Best Rap Album at the Headies, you weren’t even nominated for Best Rap Single.”

The Declan Rice rapper didn’t stop there. He doubled down by paying homage to veterans such as Modenine, Olamide, Phyno, Ghost, and Tec of Show Dem Camp, emphasising that the title of “best rapper” should be reserved for those with enduring impact and a decorated track record.

“It’s getting on my nerves, bro. You can get smacked in the face for that kind of sh*t,” Odumodublvck added bluntly, warning Blaqbonez to avoid misleading fans with exaggerated assertions.

While he acknowledged Blaqbonez’s skill as an artist, Odumodublvck accused him of letting personal insecurities cloud his judgment and distort the truth. He urged his counterpart to avoid using divisive rhetoric that could potentially hinder progress within the culture.

The ongoing feud has ignited passionate reactions from fans across social media platforms, with hip-hop heads now split over who truly deserves the crown. While some stand firmly behind Odumodublvck’s homage to rap’s elders, others continue to champion Blaqbonez for his confidence and lyrical grit.

As debates rage and tempers flare, one thing is clear: Nigeria’s rap game is far from settled.
