Ghanaian Afro-dancehall sensation Stonebwoy is poised to take center stage in an upcoming episode of CNN Africa’s acclaimed documentary series, African Voices.

The series, renowned for its spotlight on the continent’s most vibrant individuals across various fields, including travel, fashion, art, and music, will feature Stonebwoy in an exclusive episode.

In a sneak peek shared by CNN Africa, Stonebwoy, born Livingstone Etse Setekla, offers viewers a glimpse into his remarkable journey, filmed at the iconic Tuff Gong studios in Jamaica. Reflecting on his artistic influences, Stonebwoy credits the legendary reggae icon Bob Marley for profoundly shaping his musical trajectory.

The Ghanaian artist, who recently featured on Bob Marley’s Africa Unite album, unveils his longstanding mission to foster unity between Africa and its diaspora through the unifying power of music.

In a candid conversation with CNN Africa, Stonebwoy expresses his firm belief in the necessity of bridging the gap between Africa and its global diaspora, asserting, “As an African, I can relate to anything black outside of Africa… It’s time for us to bring it together to continue to sing one song.”

The forthcoming episode promises viewers an intimate insight into Stonebwoy’s compelling narrative and musical journey, highlighting the cultural resonance of his craft and his aspirations for global unity.
