Spyro releases evidence to counter Ubi Franklin’s debt claims, demands payment
The feud between popular Nigerian artist Spyro and music executive Ubi Franklin has escalated, with both parties publicly airing grievances over unpaid debts. Spyro recently released evidence to refute Franklin’s claim that the singer owes him ₦10.5 million.
The conflict reportedly began over a birthday show performance. According to Spyro, Franklin failed to pay him $5,000 for the event despite multiple reminders. “I have been chasing this payment for some time now, but Ubi Franklin has refused to settle me,” Spyro claimed on social media.
To bolster his case, Spyro shared screenshots of conversations allegedly showing his repeated attempts to recover the unpaid sum. The messages, widely circulated online, appear to highlight Franklin’s unresponsiveness regarding the matter.
On his part, Franklin has denied owing Spyro and instead alleged that the singer owes him ₦10.5 million for a car transaction. Franklin claims he facilitated the purchase of the car on Spyro’s behalf. However, Spyro countered this by presenting evidence indicating that the car dealership’s managing director, not Franklin, collected a 10% commission on the deal.
Spyro accused Franklin of twisting the narrative to deflect from his own unpaid debt. “This man is trying to deceive everyone. I won’t stop speaking out until I get my money,” the singer declared in one of his social media posts.
The dispute has captivated fans, with social media platforms abuzz as supporters of both parties weigh in. While some back Spyro’s claims, others are calling for a peaceful resolution between the two.
As the saga unfolds, Spyro has remained resolute in his demand for payment, vowing to continue publicizing the matter until Franklin settles the alleged debt.
For now, the question of who owes who remains unresolved, but the heated exchange highlights the importance of clear communication and trust in business dealings within the entertainment industry.
