Spotify Unveils Top 30 Nigerian Songs of 2025 So Far

In a testament to the unstoppable global rise of Afrobeats, Spotify has released its Top 30 most streamed Nigerian songs worldwide for the first half of 2025, and it highlights just how far the country’s music has traveled.

Rema leads the pack with the sensational hit “Baby (Is It a Crime),” securing the No. 1 spot as the most streamed Nigerian track across the globe. Not far behind is Shallipopi, whose viral anthem “Laho” claims the second position, underscoring his ascent as a breakout star of the year.

Davido emerges as the artist with the most entries on the list, seven in total, further affirming his influence on the global stage. His track “With You,” featuring Omah Lay, sits at No. 3, while “Be There Still” makes it to No. 10.

Meanwhile, Burna Boy continues to solidify his international appeal with solo and collaborative tracks, including “TaTaTa” alongside American superstar Travis Scott, which lands at No. 5. He also appears on “WE PRAY – TWICE Version,” a global collaboration featuring Coldplay, TWICE, Elyanna, TINI, and Little Simz.

Ayra Starr also holds her ground with two major entries, the solo single “All the Love” and “Gimme Dat” featuring Wizkid. The chart also includes appearances from Asake, ODUMODUBLVCK, Chella, Fireboy DML, and a surprising faith-inspired hit from Lawrence Oyor titled “Favour.”

This mid-year ranking reaffirms Nigeria’s stronghold in the global streaming space and reflects the evolving fusion of Afrobeats with global pop, R&B, hip-hop, and even K-pop influences.
