Spotify Reveals The Longest Charting Nigerian Album.
Spotify has revealed the longest-charting Nigerian on the top albums chart since its introduction in Nigeria.
Following a recent update on the Spotify rankings today, Friday, April 14, 2023, it was revealed which album has lasted the most weeks on the top albums chart since its debut in Nigeria in 2022.
Spotify confirmed that Wizkid’s ‘Made In Lagos‘ is the longest-charting Nigerian album on the chart, having spent 60 weeks at the top.
‘Made In Lagos,’ recognized as the longest-charting Nigerian album on the Apple Music Albums Chart for Nigeria, has continued to set and break previous records three years after its debut in 2020.
‘More Love Less Ego‘ still holds a spot on the chart as well as ‘Made In Lagos‘ and his ‘Ayo‘ album as well.
On April 23, 2006, Daniel Ek and Martin Lorentzon established Spotify, a privately held Swedish provider of media services including audio streaming.
As of December 2022, it had over 489 million active monthly users, including 205 million provided members, making it one of the biggest music streaming service providers.
More than 100 million music and five million podcasts, all with digital copyright restrictions, are available on Spotify from media businesses and record labels.
