Global music streaming platform Spotify has removed the buzzing ‘Ameno Amapiano – Remix’ from its platform.
The world’s largest music streaming service Spotify has deleted the hit song “Ameno Amapiano Remix” off its site due to potential licensing difficulties.
The song samples “Ameno” by French new-age musical group Era, and is owned by Nigerian hypeman Goya Menor and Ghanaian record producer Nektunez.

As it is known, to sample any form of intellectual property, it is expected that the party that owns such property be contacted and the said sample be “cleared”.
The Amapiano remix, which includes the original song’s Gregorian chant, has become a global hit, with TikTok playing a key part in its dissemination.
In an updated turn of events, the song has been removed from Spotify due to the possibility of a copyright/licensing issue.
