If you’re tired of supporting me, get lost – Speed Darlington

Controversial Nigerian singer Speed Darlington has issued a bold message to those offering him unsolicited advice, telling them to “get lost” if they are tired of supporting him.
Barely a week after his release from Kuje Prison, the artist took to Instagram on January 28, 2025, to make his stance clear.
In his usual unfiltered style, Speed Darlington reaffirmed his commitment to living life on his own terms.
“I’m about to go to the studio to record my new hit single; more music coming. My life is my content, and nobody can tell me what to post. If you’re tired of supporting me, you get lost and let my God guide me. Do you feel me?”
He further slammed critics and unsolicited advisers, dismissing their input as irrelevant.
“Support, how many of you spend money? I spend my own money, so shut the f*ck up. Let me do what I want to do. Keep your advice to yourself. I’ve been there and done that; the fear isn’t the same, so f*ck off with your advice.”

Speed Darlington’s troubles began in October 2024, when he was initially arrested following a petition by Burna Boy. The Grammy-winning artist had taken legal action after Speed Darlington made suggestive remarks about his alleged association with embattled hip-hop mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.
The controversy escalated further when Speed Darlington was re-arrested on November 27, 2024, while performing in Owerri, Imo State, on charges of cyberstalking Burna Boy.
He was detained at Kuje Prison for nearly two months before being granted ₦20 million bail by a Federal High Court in Abuja.
Following his release, Speed Darlington made an unexpected move by severing ties with his legal team while still appreciating their efforts on social media. Now, with new music on the horizon, the singer has vowed to channel his prison experiences into his upcoming songs.
Despite his defiance, the legal battle is far from over, as Speed Darlington is set to return to court on March 18, 2025, for trial on cybercrime charges.
With his fearless approach and refusal to back down, only time will tell how this chapter in his career unfolds.
