Speed Darlington has finally broken his silence after Burna Boy gifted Portable ₦20 million for knocking him out in their recent high-profile celebrity boxing match, Chaos in the Ring.
The fight, held on April 18, 2025, at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Lagos, saw Portable deliver a shocking first-round knockout against Speed Darlington, who reportedly broke his arm and failed to return for the second round.
In response to Portable’s victory, Burna —who has a longstanding beef with Speed Darlington—celebrated the moment by sending Portable a hefty cash gift of ₦20 million. Portable, never one to hold back, took to Instagram to flaunt the gesture, writing:
“20 million from @burnaboygram. If you wanna be like Odogwu, can you do like Odogwu? God bless your family.”
Naturally, Speed Darlington wasn’t going to let that slide without a clapback. Taking to his Instagram page, he suggested that Burna Boy is obsessed with him, claiming:
“Nobody watches you more than your enemy… They wanna know if you’re doing well. 😁😁 Long face sleeps on my page. His whole life is now checking up on me.”
