During a recent interview, Special Spesh shared the inspiring story of how Davido’s kindness enabled him to acquire a house in the United States.
He disclosed that in April 2023, he sought financial assistance from Davido for his child’s surgery in India, as the medical expenses kept rising. Without hesitation, Davido lent him $50,000 to cover the costs.
Special Spesh recounted that by November 2024, he was ready to repay the loan. However, Davido refused to accept the money. Instead, the “Unavailable” crooner encouraged him to use the funds to achieve his long-time dream of owning a house in the United States.
In his words: “My kid got operated in India and the bills kept going high. I asked my Boss Davido for a $50,000 loan, and he granted it. This was in the month of April 2023. I had to pay back this November (2024). When I contacted Davido to pay up, he declined and asked me to use the money and get that dream house I’ve always wanted in the US. This was supposed to be confidential, but I completed payment for the house today, and I can’t contain the joy. Help me appreciate my Boss.”
