Davido’s hypeman, Special Spesh appeals to Burna Boy and the singer.
Special Spesh, a trusted associate of Davido and his hype man, has commented on the singer’s controversial statement that Burna Boy is one of the “new cats.”
In the midst of a simmering dispute between the DMW chairman and the Grammy-winning performer, he pleaded for peace.
According to Tontrends, David Adeleke, also known as Davido, said that he and Wizkid were the first young musicians to find fame.
He asserted in an interview that this is common knowledge and that he was happy to see “new cats” taking the lead in the music business.
Burna Boy, Rema, Fireboy, Mayorkun, and Asake were referred to by Davido as the “new cats” who followed him and Wizkid.
He said; “Everybody knows that I was one of the first, Wizkid and I were the first young artistes to blow up and it feels good seeing new cats like Burna Boy, Rema, Fireboy, Mayorkun.
You know a lot of new cats coming, killing it…Asake who was on my album. So, yes, I think the future of Afrobeat is in good hands.”
Controversy on social media sites grew as fans struggled to decide between Omo Baba Olowo and the African Giant.
In response, Spesh posted a video of himself claiming that Davido’s statement had left him dumbfounded and that the weekend would be lengthy.
He was seen alongside Burna in another section of the video, and he mentioned in the description that everyone is together.
Special Spesh wrote; “IM WEAK!!!!! EVERYBODY OFF YOUR MIC…. WE BE ONE LET THERE BE PEACE!!!! OMFG”
