While Nigerians are still reeling from the death of veteran musician and songwriter Sound Sultan, who died on July 11th, 2021, the singer has been laid to rest in the United States, according to the latest report.
Sound Sultan, who was a devout Muslim while life, was buried on July 11 in the Marlboro Muslim cemetery in New Jersey, according to Islamic tradition.
His wife, Farida, and other close family members were among those who attended the funeral. As her husband was laid to rest, Farida was inconsolable.
Farida Fasasi, his wife, was seen breaking down and laying her head on his coffin in a video from the funeral.

Sound Sultan and Farida have three children together.
He was 44-years-old at the time of his death.
