Nigerian rapper and music executive Olamide has made a significant impact on D’Banj’s latest album, “The Entertainer: D’Sequel,” by collaborating on five tracks that showcase his signature style and lyrical finesse. These contributions were revealed after the album’s release on August 15, 2024.
At D’Banj’s listening party in Lagos, held just hours before the album’s release, YBNL boss Olamide’s involvement in the project was confirmed. Fans eager to know which songs Olamide had influenced can now find his lyrical fingerprints on five tracks: “Koko,” “Koko (Remix),” “Melody,” “Taya,” and “World Famous.”
This isn’t the first time Olamide has been recognized for his songwriting prowess; he’s been praised by numerous artists, including Tiwa Savage and Asake, for his exceptional talent.
In addition to his work on D’Banj’s album, Olamide surprised fans with the release of “Ikigai,” a seven-track project that offers a unique blend of Afrobeats, rap, and soulful melodies. Each track on “Ikigai” delivers a distinct sonic experience, further showcasing Olamide’s versatility and creative genius.
