Spotlighting Catchy Songs from Afrobeat Music star, Mr Eazi that shows his music prowess.
In less than a decade, Mr Eazi has risen to the top of the music food chain with his creative, genre-bending songs that gives him an edge over every Afrobeat artists.
Born Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade, Mr Eazi is the creator of Banku music, a fusion of Ghanaian highlife and Nigerian chord progressions and rhythms.
He began booking artists to perform at college parties while a student at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
After recording a guest line on “My Life,” a song that gathered traction and became a hit in KNUST, he expressed interest in music.
In July 2013, Mr Eazi released his debut mixtape, About to Blow. Mr Eazi moved to Nigeria in 2014 and began working with Juls, which led to the creation of “Bankulize” and “Skin Tight” featuring Efya, the latter launching him to majr spotlight.
From there, he went to release many hit singles and projects, feature on both local and international tracks and win major awards whiich includes a Latin Grammy.
Apart from releasing smash singles, The singer is the founder of emPawa, a talent incubator program that has produced talented acts like Joeboy, J.Derobie, Namenj amongst others.

Skintight ft Efya
Released in 2015, “Skintight” was Mr Eazi’s breakout song. The song which features Efya was produced by Juls.
In the smooth mid-tempo track Mr Eazi explains how much he loves his boo for sticking with him through all of his life’s situations, from not having money to how he became, and how he will hold her as tight as his skin as a result.
Hollup ft Joey B and Dammy Krane
In a time when Mr Eazi was beginning to make Banku the trending sound, “Hollup” was another track produced by Juls, the Ghanaian producer
Hollup is a laid back tune that employs the use of drums and synth to create a hypnotizing sound mixed with Mr Eazi’s lyrics filled with Lamba and accusations against a girl who he feels thinks everything revolves around her endowments.
Leg Over
In the early stages of Mr Eazi’s career, his songs revolved around two major themes, Love and betrayal. “Leg Over” explores a mixture of the two.
“Leg Over” is a football slang that represents someone being dribbled. On the E-Kelly-produced song, Mr Eazi takes a look at his relationship with his fiancée, who is unfaithful to him. Despite the fact that he is aware of the lie, he is OK with it as long as he receives love from her.
“Leg Over” is the first single released off Mr Eazi’s mixtape Life Is Eazi, Vol. 1 – Accra To Lagos.
Anointing ft Sarkodie
Filled with repetitive lyrics from Mr Eazi and short but catchy bars from Sarkodie, “Anointing” is a catchy Banku tune released at the peak of Mr Eazi’s career.
It was released as a standalone single in 2016 and produced by Juls.
Pour Me Water
Coming from the height of the success of his second mixtape, “Life Is Eazi Vol 1″ and the backlash from Nigerians over some controversial statements he made during an interview, Mr Eazi dropped “Pour Me Water” in 2017, which features his trademark laid-back flow and immaculate production from E-Kelly.
The song appears to make a light-hearted reference to Holy Water. “Pour Me Water” is a traditional Mr Eazi song, with its quiet and subdued afrobeat flavour.

Property
Another production courtesy of his regular collaborator, E-Kelly, “Property” is a deviation from Mr Eazi’s usual Banku-styled songs.
Mr Eazi’s love ballad “Property” features South African trumpeter Mo-T from MI Casa, and it shows him making great promises to a special lady he wishes will accept his romantic proposal.
Miss You Bad ft Burna Boy
“Miss You Bad,” a tune from his 2018 mixtape “Life Is Eazi, Vol. 2 – Lagos to London,” is laced with lyrics that indicate how regretful one is for wrongdoing towards one’s partner and how much one misses one’s lover. It features Burna Boy who comes through with impeccable lyrics.
Surrender ft Simi
“Surrender,” a song by Mr Eazi featuring Simi, was released in 2018 as part of his Life Is Eazi, Vol. 2 – The album Lagos to London.
The love song was produced by Pheelz and Juls. Because of the lovely rhythm and pattern used in the song, as well as Simi’s incredibly sonorous voice, “Surrender” is the most successful tune of the music project.
Tony Montana ft Tyga
This Afroswing song features American Tyga and fuses a bit of his Banku style with Afrobeat and Hip-Hop. Produced by Killertunes, the song sees Mr Eazi try to push into the international market. The beat, the chorus and the features all contribute to making it a well-created song.

Lento ft J Balvin
Mr Eazi and J Balvin are no strangers to collaborating with each other. They had previously collaborated on two different tracks, “Arcoiris” and “Como Un Bebe” with the former earning both a Latin Grammy in 2020. That same year they released the multi-lingual track, “Lento.’
On an undulating beat from Nigerian producer Killertunes, Mr Eazi and J Balvin trade lyrics in Spanish, English, and Yoruba, with a nod to Elvis Crespo’s merengue classic “Suavemente.”
