Fireboy DML Shuts Down Toronto’s Queen Elizabeth Theatre With Sold-Out Concert Featuring Lagbaja, Lojay, BNXN
On August 5th, 2025, Nigerian music star Fireboy DML delivered an unforgettable night of music and magic at the iconic Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Toronto, Canada, and he did it to a sold-out crowd.
The award-winning singer-songwriter thrilled fans with a powerful live set that blended crowd-favorite hits with fresh material from his critically acclaimed 2024 album, Adedamola.

For fans, Lagbaja’s appearance was a once-in-a-generation moment. The enigmatic saxophonist and highlife-fusion pioneer has maintained an air of mystery throughout his near three-decade career, rarely stepping into the spotlight.
Before Toronto, his last major public performance was in 2022 at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards, where he shared the stage with fellow Afrobeats star Rema.
Fireboy’s ability to pull Lagbaja back into the spotlight and outside Nigeria marked a defining moment in his career.
