Sola Allyson, a prominent gospel singer, has turned to social media to respond to recent criticism of a popular song, ‘Oniduro’ by Tope Alabi.
It could be recalled that a video of Tope Alabi saying that the song was not inspired by the Holy Spirit and then condemning it went popular over the weekend.
The singer has been receiving backlash from Nigerians on social media since the video went viral, with many accusing her of being envious.
Sola Allyson, who is a respected gospel artist has also waded into the report as she stressed that everyone understands the concept of God differently.
Sola who has sung a similar song in the past made this known in a long post via her Instagram account.
In her words;

I commend Yinka @adeyinkaalaseyori for making the song more accessible to souls all over the world and I wish her more help in all her doings. The song tells the story of many of us who had no backing from anyone and none to rest on or be as hiding place as to what our tomorrow would be.
I first heard this song years ago from Mama Bola Are at my home-out-of-home, @agape_pground in Akure and I immediately connected with it because, me, I would have been ridiculed, and deserted and forgotten! The song helps me express my gratitude in that respect very succinctly.
