Slimcase stirs reactions as he reveals an unknown thing about Big Wiz
Famed Nigerian hypeman and singer Oluwafemi Oladapo, better known as Slimcase, has stirred reactions online with revelations about award-winning Nigerian superstar Wizkid.
In a recent interview with Naija 102.7FM, Slimcase disclosed that Wizkid, the “Essence” crooner, has a meticulous approach to music. Slimcase revealed that Wizkid has a habit of listening to a song multiple times—up to 50 times—before giving it his approval.
The Gucci Snake hitmaker shared this insight in response to a question about his unreleased song with Wizkid, which dates back about four years. He explained that while working with Big Wiz in the studio, the singer allows collaborators to express themselves freely without much scrutiny.
However, Wizkid meticulously evaluates the song in their absence, listening to it repeatedly to determine if it meets his standards.
According to Slimcase, this meticulous approach is a major reason why some songs created in collaboration with Wizkid never see the light of day.
Slimcase hinted during the interview that his song with Starboy would eventually be released later this year, despite the meticulous process involved in working with the superstar.
In his words; “When you make music with Wizkid, he will let you do your thing without any scrutiny, then in your absence he can listen to the song like 50 times to know if the song meets his standard, thats you see artistes in the studio with Wizkid and the song never drops.”
