Street-hop star and hypeman Oluwafemi Oladapo, better known as Slimcase, has sparked conversations online after openly praising Wizkid’s quiet-but-luxurious lifestyle, a lifestyle he says represents the peak of comfort in the Nigerian music industry.

In a newly resurfaced interview making rounds on X, Slimcase didn’t hide his admiration for the Grammy-winning superstar. According to him, Wizkid’s ability to enjoy his wealth without flaunting it is something he deeply respects.
“If I could experience just a little of the comfort Wizkid enjoys, I’d feel fulfilled. Nobody in the industry lives as well as he does, and he does it quietly, without showing off,” he said.
Slimcase, who often reflects on his early days earning ₦15,000 a month at a factory job, has come a long way since becoming a major force behind the “Shaku Shaku” street wave.
Over the years, he has collaborated with some of the industry’s biggest names, Wizkid, D’banj, Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade, Mr Eazi, and 2Baba, and his hit “Gucci Snake” with Wizkid remains a fan favourite.
Away from music, Slimcase has built an additional lane as a content creator and online personality, frequently crediting Don Jazzy as the inspiration behind that creative shift. His infectious energy and street-born slangs like “SaintSamiGanja” and “RubyLearnShii” have helped solidify his presence both on the streets and online.
He has also represented multiple brands and earned nominations from The Headies and the City People Entertainment Awards.
Reflecting on his journey, Slimcase said Wizkid’s lifestyle pushes him to aim higher. “Watching someone enjoy life so effortlessly makes you look at your own goals differently. I’ve come a long way, but that kind of quiet enjoyment is something I really admire,” he added.
Wizkid’s signature low-key luxury has long fascinated fans from homes reportedly spread across Lagos, London, and Los Angeles to private jet trips and a carefully curated collection of high-end cars.
His love for exclusive gatherings, designer fashion, and understated opulence has made him a symbol of rare, refined success in Afrobeats.
Slimcase’s remarks underscore the blend of admiration, aspiration, and street hustle that shapes relationships within Nigeria’s music scene, where every rising star is inspired by the possibility of living just as softly, and just as silently, as Wizkid.
“If only I can get 10% of Wizkid’s enjoyment, I am made for life. Wizkid lifestyle is the most expensive in the industry, no one comes close. He enjoys luxury lifestyle without camera”
