Skales Set To Release Music In Memory Of Late Mum [Video]

Skales plans to drop a song in honour of his deceased mother.
Skales plans to release the song “Konibaje” in honour of his mother, who passed away in October 2022.
He described how it has been a difficult week for him since his mother passed away in a video he posted on his Instagram page on Monday night. His emotions have ranged from fury to pain.
He continued by saying that his late mother had supported him when he made the decision to move to Lagos as a teenager to seek a career in music. He disclosed that the song would be released on November 24.
“I’ve had a rough couple of weeks,” he said.
“My mum who meant the world to me passed away. And it got me completely shattered. I’ve had a rollercoaster of emotions.
From anger to pain, from pain to crave, to near-depressive thoughts. But I keep remembering that my mum was a light to the world.

I remember when I was like 16-17 years old; I told her I wanted to make a move to Lagos to pursue my career in music. I know it was hard for her because I was her only child.
“She took me to my friend’s house who was my ride to Lagos, She prayed for me and wished me the best.
In light of this, I’m choosing to do what I know how to do best which is focusing on making happy music.
“So in loving memory of my mum, on the 24th of November, I’m releasing a song called ‘Konibaje’.”
