Skales calls out Green Africa Airlines over last-minute flight cancellation
Nigerian artist Skales has voiced his frustration with Green Africa Airlines after his flight to Akure was abruptly canceled due to a sick pilot.
The artist, who was set to perform at an event, arrived at the airport on time only to be informed that the flight wouldn’t proceed.
Skales took to social media to express his anger, sharing his boarding pass and revealing that he had been paid N15 million for the performance. He also criticized the airline for what he called “horrible customer disrespect,” which resulted in a significant financial loss.
The singer questioned the airline’s competence, wondering how they had failed to anticipate the pilot’s illness before boarding. He shared his deep disappointment, stating that he felt “speechless” and questioning if there was “no hope for Nigeria.”
Skales and his team were left stranded due to the flight cancellation, and he is now demanding both answers and compensation for the inconvenience and financial setback he has suffered.

In other news, Skales has clarified his relationship with colleague Wizkid, stating that they were never close friends.
On September 4, 2024, Skales addressed accusations of betraying Wizkid after an online user, @aurora94212924, claimed he had befriended Wizkid’s enemies out of spite.
This controversy arose after Skales promoted his upcoming album *Martina’s Son* on X (formerly Twitter).
In his response, Skales explained that, although they worked together during their time at Empire Mates Entertainment (EME), their relationship was strictly professional.
He emphasized that they were not close friends, noting that Wizkid simply does not like him. Skales also made it clear that he had never betrayed the Grammy winner.
