Nigerian singer Skales has openly criticised socialite Cubana Chief Priest over a controversial statement linking the recent killings in Jos to an alleged attempt to embarrass Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his birthday.

The backlash began after Cubana Chief Priest shared a post on Instagram, where he offered condolences to victims of the violence in Jos but suggested the attack could have been politically motivated. He also urged security agencies to step up efforts in addressing insecurity across the country.
However, his remarks were met with widespread criticism online, with many Nigerians describing the statement as insensitive given the tragic loss of lives.
Reacting strongly, Skales dismissed the comments as “delusional,” questioning why attention was being placed on political optics instead of the human toll.
“This guy is delusional… I can’t believe he said that,” Skales wrote. “Lives were lost and all you care about is the presidency being embarrassed. Where is your conscience?”
The singer went further to call out what he sees as a lack of empathy, stressing that the focus should remain on the victims and the seriousness of the violence rather than political narratives.
