Skales goes ballistic on man who claimed he can bring his mom back to life
Nigerian artist Skales has responded angrily to a comment made by a netizen who seemingly mocked his grief over the loss of his mother.
The musician, who has been vocal about missing his late mom, expressed his longing in a heartfelt post on his X (formerly Twitter) page, writing, “Men I wish I could bring back my MOTHER.”
However, in a reply that quickly sparked controversy, a user named Big Slim sarcastically responded, offering to help Skales “bring back” his mother, provided the singer could bring money to facilitate it.
The comment enraged Skales, who wasted no time in delivering a fiery response.
He blasted the netizen, saying, “God go purnish you.. you are very stupid… no let me wish you death fool.”
Skales’ anger is understandable, as the pain of losing his mother, whom he buried in October 2022, is still fresh. His emotional post reflected his deep grief, making the insensitive remark from Big Slim all the more hurtful.
This incident highlights the challenges celebrities face in dealing with online comments, especially when it comes to sensitive personal matters.
In other news, Skales expressed deep gratitude to Don Jazzy, who had recently made headlines for donating ₦100 million to social media activist Verydarkman’s non-governmental organization.
Reflecting on his own experience, Skales recounted how Don Jazzy supported him by giving him ₦150,000 after his performance at Industry Night.
