Rising Cameroonian, Sine offloads a new groove titled, ‘Blow Today’.
Often, the global star radar for music in Africa revolves around Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa and Tanzania, but this time, a bright light kindles in Cameroon.
Sine Tum Emmanuel, known simply as Sine, a native of Cameroon whose present abode is in Morocco releases an Afro-fusion groovy vibe tagged, ‘Blow Today’.
The West African culture-infused music “Blow Today,” produced by Richard Paulson, focuses especially on the Bamenda region of North West Cameroon, where the well-known “bottle dance rhythm” served as the primary influence for this song.
Theme-wise, the song “Blow Today” is on “making one’s dreams come true today, not tomorrow,” and it celebrates the potent idea of living in the present.
A sneak peek into his musical beginnings reveals he commenced in high school when he performed with singing groups, and he later honed his skills in clubs in Bamenda and Douala. Sine’s breakthrough came when he emerged victorious in the inaugural edition of Africa star in Gabon in 2008. Following his Africastar triumph, Sine pursued his new musical venture through impressive collaboration with renowned international artists such as Richard Bona, Hamza Namira, Petit Pays, Meiway, Xmaleya, and others.
Influenced by some of Nigeria’s greatest so far, Tuface Ididbia, Burna Boy, and Fela Kuti – Sine has the undoubted potential to become a music force to reckon with in the West African space at this pace and style of music.
Beyond the euphoria of good sound, Sine poses to understand how to sell his uniqueness to a global audience and this is one great feature to soar in the music space.
