Simi has explained why she is taking her time with her forthcoming album to her devoted followers on social media who have been waiting impatiently for new music from her
The award-winning musician assured fans in a post on her Instagram account that her album this year will be exactly what they need from her.
Simi started her post by acknowledging her fans’ messages, saying; “Army asking me when I’m dropping new new. I feel like I’m letting y’all down.”
She continued by saying that even though she had several ideas for producing new music, life had presented her with some unanticipated challenges.
“I had a plan. Actually, like 3 plans – but life will life and you roll with the punches. And I don’t want to give you rubbish stuff,” Simi wrote.
She continued by assuring her followers that they would not regret waiting for her forthcoming album.
“Just know my album this year will be the album you need from me,” she said.
Simi also talked openly about the times she put out music before she was ready.
“Every time I’ve dropped a song because ‘time’ – I’ve ended up not liking the song or regretting it lol. I’m not doing that anymore,” she said.
Ultimately, Simi made it known that this time around, an album may be released rather than just singles.
“Be patient with me. I think I’m just going to drop an album instead of singles actually. Maybe one single just right before,” she concluded.
