Nigerian Singer, Simi recently disclosed to fans how long it took her to release her new single, “Woman” and the reason behind the delay.
Simi has revealed an Interesting detail about her new track “Woman.”
The singer recently started a challenge called #NobodyLikeWoman and several female Nigerian celebrities uploaded monochromatic images with an inscription of degrading things people say about them.
Many people assumed the singer was performing the challenge for a song she was set to record, but on Friday, October 15th, she astonished her fans by dropping the song.
A Twitter user reacted to this by asking if Simi recorded the song in 2019, as it came as a shock to many Nigerians.
Simi responded by admitting that she recorded the new track in 2019, but she decided to delay its release due to her pregnancy.

Prior to the release of the new single, the singer wrote a lengthy, powerful, and motivating letter to women.
Simi expressed her intention for people to be mindful of the things they speak and the seeds they plant in people’s lives in a recent message via her Instagram account.
She wrote:
“In less than 12 hours, by the grace of God, my single WOMAN will be with you. I’m grateful for every Woman that is standing in the gap for all of us. Your vulnerability is courage.
I hope that, going forward, we are mindful of the words we say and the seeds that we plant in the lives of people. I also hope that we learn to support and protect women that are not able to do so for themselves. Now we celebrate Women!.”
