Award-winning Nigerian singer Simi has playfully dismissed a daring marriage proposal from a fan, despite being happily married to fellow artist Adekunle Gold.
The bold admirer took to Snapchat, confidently declaring, “Na me go still marry you.” The Duduke crooner wasted no time in delivering a witty clapback on her Snapchat story on Thursday, March 27, 2025, responding, “When devil is knocking your door, you don’t need to open it.”
Her humorous yet firm response quickly went viral, sparking reactions from fans who praised her quick wit and unwavering loyalty to her husband. Simi, who shares a daughter, Deja, with Adekunle Gold, has always been vocal about their love, often sharing heartwarming moments of their relationship online.

Recall, Simi opened up about the heartwarming moment her husband, AG Baby (Adekunle Gold), proposed to her.
She shared the touching story during an exclusive interview on the “OFF THE TOP” show with VJ Adams.
Simi revealed that Adekunle popped the question just 10 days before her 30th birthday, catching her completely off guard, despite her usually being difficult to surprise.
The day started with the couple attending a friend’s mother’s birthday celebration, where Simi was already dressed for the occasion. Later that evening, despite feeling tired, she agreed to join Adekunle for dinner with his uncles at Eko Hotel.
As they approached the venue, Simi noticed candles at the entrance and initially thought it was a thoughtful gesture from Adekunle’s family. However, she soon realized something more special was happening.
Upon entering the room, she was greeted by candles, flowers, and balloons. To her astonishment, Adekunle got down on one knee and proposed. Overcome with joy and surprise, Simi excitedly said, “Yes.”
