I love Chike’s voice – Simi.
Nigerian Afrobeat artist, Simi has gushed over her colleague Chike’s beautiful voice.
She stated she adores his voice and that it is filled with emotion.
This was said by the mother of one in a recent interview with The Beat 99.9 FM in Lagos.
Recalls, Chike and Simi collaborated on a love song titled ‘Running To You’ in 2021.
Simi said the ‘Boo of The Booless’ crooner was full of gratitude to her for the collaboration.
She said: “I actually love Chike’s voice so much. There is so much emotions his voice carries. When he wanted to do the song [‘Running To You’], I don’t even think I was around. He sent it to me. He already had a version of the song on his album, but I hadn’t heard the album at the time. And when I sent the version, I was like, ‘This is so beautiful.’
“I was so happy to do it. Funny thing is that I’ve done quite a number of features, but he [Chike] was just very appreciative. He kept showing how appreciative he is, and I really liked that.”
