Simi appreciates her fans as they share sanitary pads to celebrate her birthday
Nigerian singer, Simi has joyfully shared what her fans did in celebration of her birthday.
The singer turned 35 years recently and her fans decided to go out of their way to do something good in her honour.
In a video posted on the singer’s Instagram page, her supporters, known as the Simi Army, were able to hand out sanitary pads to students on her behalf.
Simi Army visited a school in Lagos where they provided free sanitary pads and educational materials to female students.
The singer praised them for their constant shows of love and mentioned how it had become a custom for them to give back to the neighbourhood on her birthday each year.
Simi referred to them as her family rather than admirers, calling their gesture the most considerate thing anyone has ever done for her.
In her caption of the video she posted on Instagram, she wrote;
“Every year, every single year, you make me cry happy happy tears. Y’all not just my fans, you’re family. This is one of the most thoughtful things anyone’s ever done for me. I love you #SimiArmy Thank you ❤️❤️❤️”
