How I met Chioma in Babcock University after I dropped Dami Duro & Back When – Davido.
Davido and Chioma met for the first time at Babcock University, where Chioma was studying economics and Davido was pursuing a music degree.
In an online video that sheds light on their growing relationship, Afrobeat superstar David Adedeji Adeleke OON, who is professionally known as Davido, recalls the first time he tried to talk to his wife, Chioma Avril Rowland, and how she disregarded him despite the fact that he was a star.
Davido gave his followers a look into his daily life in a riveting documentary alongside YouTuber and vlogger Tayo Aina.
The documentary, which lasts 43 minutes, digs into the singer’s demanding routine, which includes nonstop travel, brief respites, and leisure onboard private aircraft soaring thousands of feet above sea level.
Davido manages to revel in the loyalty he has for his adored wife, Chioma, in the engaging documentary, narrating the story of their first encounter and how he attempted to start up a conversation with her during their first year at university.
In his words; “I was in school for a year before I blew up. That was when I met my wife. I remember the day I saw her. I can never forget. I was in a Prado, and I looked behind, and I saw this girl walking. Just there with her bag, it was Chioma. I told Lati (Davido’s personal assistant), ‘Omo, I like that girl. Go and call that girl for me, He called her but she did not answer me at the time.”
However, the early attempts to make contact were unsuccessful since Chioma did not answer.
But destiny stepped in, and Chioma ultimately found her way to Lagos, where they met up again.
Davido reminisced, saying: “Later on, she came to Lagos, and we linked up. And I was like, ‘Yeah, I got you.”
