Go on TV and degrade me if you want to be popular – Shatta Wale
Ghanaian dancehall artist Shatta Wale has responded to the ongoing discussions surrounding his name on the United Showbiz program broadcasted on UTV.
The singer has been at the centre of discussions on the show for several weeks, and it’s no secret that tensions have flared between Shatta Wale and the panellists in the past.
The latest controversy erupted when Ola Michael, one of the panellists, made remarks suggesting that Shatta Wale should not be granted a diplomatic passport due to his behaviour. In response, Shatta Wale released a diss track and a series of videos in which he used strong language without holding back.
Shatta Wale has not been one to hold back from criticizing his detractors, particularly the United Showbiz panellists, whom he has referred to as “pained” and “poor,” among other choice words.
The drama continued with another round of criticism directed at him during the show’s most recent episode, which aired on September 3rd.
On September 5th, Shatta Wale once again turned to Twitter, injecting humor into the situation by suggesting that anyone seeking to gain popularity should just jump on UTV and offer criticism of him.
“UTV paaaa????????????????????????????????????. Which format be this kwraaaa ????????????,”
“If you want to be popular in Ghana just go on UTV and degrade shatta wale .. People will know your name right nowwwww????????????????????????????????????????????????????,” he posted
