The talented Ghanaian artist Shatta Wale goes emotional as he pleads with the Ghana government for the reformation of the country’s prisons in his song titled Jail man.
Ghanaian reggae-dancehall artiste Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr better known by his stage name Shatta Wale, formerly Bandana took to his new track, “Jail Man” to call out the Ghanaian government for the state of the country’s prisons.
The Ghanian artist made it in an entertaining way as he has demanded the reformation of the country’s prisons.
Recall, mp3bullet.ng reported that Shatta Wale was arrested on Monday, October 18, 2021, charged with spreading false information and causing fear and panic and he was imprisoned in the Ankaful prison for one week.
After leaving the prison the self-proclaimed dancehall king said he was going to release a song named “Jail Man” which he did release on the 5th of November 2021.

In the song, he made an appeal to the Government and powerful people in Ghana that they should please come together and join hands in reforming the country’s prisons and that Government should please have mercy in the type of Judgment served to people.
In his words:
“Listen, most of my gees get life sentence 25 years life sentence 100 and plus life sentence Oh Mawu, Oh Mawu, yeee If I tell you no go believe Remand for 5 years, 10 years Government give respect to the border men Because dem dey watch your borla You for pay them well So them go treat my people well Attorney General, I greet you IGP I greet you All my judges I greet you Too many boys dey for remand Dem no get helping hand CID no dey come oo How them go go house”.
On this reformation of ghana prison, one of the Ghanian stars Kwaw Kese has shared his experience being in the prison saying that he got to learn a lot while he was jailed when he was speaking in an interview on Day Break Hitz.
He said he wouldn’t wish anyone to be jailed in Ghana. According to him, Freedom is very expensive in Ghana.
