Dancehall sensation Shatta Wale finds himself in the spotlight once again, this time facing backlash for blaming fellow artists, including Stonebwoy, for Ghana’s exit from the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON).

The Ghana Black Stars bid farewell to the tournament after a draw with Mozambique, sparking heavy criticism from Ghanaians directed at both the coach and the players for their lacklustre performance.

In a surprising turn of events, Shatta Wale, known for hits like “Melisa,” has pointed fingers at Ghanaian musicians who participated in AFCON, asserting that their presence brought bad luck to the team. Instead, he suggested that he and Medikal should have been present.

Taking to his official Facebook page, Shatta Wale wrote, “…” (content continuation can be added based on the full statement for context). This move by Shatta Wale has ignited a new wave of discussions and debates within the Ghanaian music and sports communities as fans dissect the impact of musicians’ presence on the team’s performance.

Meanwhile, Shatta’s statement has been met with harsh criticism from social media users.

A netizen wrote “Massa with this attitude of yours e go be hard for Ghanaian artists to unite oooo. We love your songs so please preach unity instead of division. This fire you dropped was unnecessary kraaa”,

“You de3 common sense de3. The old man who is always having bad energy around colleagues”, another wrote

“As a member of Ghana Mental Health Department, we apologize to public that the person who posted this is one of our patients who escaped here. We assure you that we will do whatever it takes to get him back. Thank you “, another wrote.

“You can’t hide it any longer. It’s obvious the the success of others is hunting you. Wish good for people, that’s how good can also come out from you”, a netizen added.
