Controversial Shatta Wale, who has been decrying Nigerian artists for weeks, has declared himself to be like ‘Fela Kuti,’ the late great Nigerian musician.
To further upset Nigerians, Shatta Wale, a Ghanaian recording artist, claimed to be Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, a legendary Afrobeat performer.
Since he claimed to be ‘Fela Kuti,’ the Ghanaian artist has been widely mocked on social media.
The musician declared that he does not need Nigeria to advertise his songs while criticizing his fellow Nigerians.

In his words:
“I don’t need Nigerian promotion for anything. No Nigerian artiste can say I visited them. How many of your rappers can beat Sarkodie?
Nigerian fans stay on the internet and talk bullsh*t. It’s your turn today, but tomorrow is another man’s turn. If you people didn’t see Fela Kuti for a long time, he is back. This is him. Accept it or forget it.”
Even though Shatta Wale is a household name, he’s never ceased being controversial on social media.
You’ll never know why he brags so much on the internet; it may be because of the encouragement he receives from his fans.
