Dancehall singer remanded into prison custody
Ghanaian reggae-dancehall artiste Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr. better known by his stage name Shatta Wale has taken pride in being remanded in prison custody, bragging about being an ex-convict.
The singer has taken a jab at Ghanaian dancehall artists who have yet to experience being in prison.
Recall, Mp3bullet.ng reported that the prominent dancehall musician was sentenced to a week in prison with three others for the publication of fake news.

Shatta took to his social media page on the 23rd of February 2022 to swipe at his colleagues who can’t boast of being ex-convicts.
He has asked them to keep mute when he is talking.
He wrote:
“Dancehall artiste weh no go prison before shouldn’t talk when Jailman Dancehall artistes are talking!!,”
