    Nigerian vocalist Shallipopi has expressed frustration towards a fellow up-and-coming artist, Ebaide. This comes in response to allegations made by Ebaide that Shallipopi spent N9 million on a streaming farm.

    According to Ebaide, a digital marketer offering to promote her music referred to Shallipopi, the ‘Elon Musk‘ singer, as a satisfied client who had spent N9 million for the service. In a voicenote shared by Ebaide, the promoter claimed that Shallipopi invested a substantial amount with the goal of securing a position on the Apple Music charts and achieving rapid success.

    Ebaide further disclosed that the marketing company promised her a 100,000 reach on streaming platforms for a fee of N300-N400k. Falling for the pitch, she now feels deceived, as the company asserted that Shallipopi had previously employed the same strategy to attain massive streams.

    Sharing a video online, she wrote, “As a newbie in the music industry who has heard that even the sweetest songs will go nowhere without promotion, it was easy to convince me to get duped after throwing Shallipopi and his numbers to my face. I believed them, and that was the mistake.”

    In response to the accusation, Shallipopi strongly criticized Ebaide, dismissing her claim as false and asserting that he does not need to pay for streaming.

    He emphasized that if he had N9 million, he would use it to relax and rely on his fanbase to naturally stream his music. The singer accused Ebaide of seeking attention and expressed his belief that karma would eventually catch up with her.

    Quoting the post, he wrote; “Fake!! Y’all looking for attention with the wrong contents and think it’s right? 9m wey i go take chill make I leave Plutomanias to Dey stream!! Anyways your karma is coming.”
