Shallipopi’s ‘Shakespopi’ album dominates Apple Music Naija top 100
Emerging artist Crown Uzama, known by his stage name Shallipopi, has made a remarkable impact on the Apple Music charts with the release of his latest album, “Shakespopi.”
In a mere 48 hours following its launch, the album has dominated the top nine positions on the Apple Music Naija Top 100 chart.
“Shakespopi” marks Shallipopi’s second studio album, arriving just two years after his breakthrough in the music industry. The immense popularity of Shallipopi’s album has stirred speculation among music critics, raising questions about the potential use of artificial methods to inflate the songs’ rankings on Apple Music, a practice often referred to as “farming.”
Nevertheless, despite these rumors, the undeniable success of Shallipopi on the charts underscores his burgeoning influence in the Nigerian music landscape.
