The “Elon Musk” hitmaker has made headlines by splurging 10 BTC (Bitcoin) worth approximately N866 million on a dazzling new diamond neck chain.
Shallipopi, who credits senior colleague Wizkid as his biggest influence, proudly shared this news with his followers on his verified X account, formerly known as Twitter.
This lavish display comes after Shallipopi’s breakthrough into the Nigerian music scene in 2023 with his chart-topping single “Elon Musk,” which soared to the number one spot on the Nigeria Top 100 Apple Music chart.
Notably, Shallipopi, recently made waves by selling out a 15,000-capacity venue in London, UK, further solidifying his status as a rising star.
Announcing his latest acquisition on X, Shallipopi simply wrote, “10 BTC one neck,” revealing the staggering value of his new jewelry.
Based on information from reputable cryptocurrency exchanges, 1 BTC equals approximately $52,000. Therefore, 10 BTC equates to $520,000, which translates to roughly N866 million in Nigerian currency.
