If you want to stay relevant, emulate Wizkid – Shallipopi advises colleagues
The Nigerian music sensation, Shallipopi, has offered some valuable career advice to other artists.
The artist, known for his track “Elon Musk,” emphasized the importance of emulating Afrobeats superstar Wizkid’s social media etiquette as a means to maintain stardom in the industry. He shared this advice during a recent interview with 78 Factory, highlighting that musicians who are excessively vocal on social media platforms often risk diminishing their value.
Shallipopi expressed, “To stay relevant, you stay silent. When you talk too much, you lose value. Let your music and your success speak for you, just like Wizkid.”
In addition to this insight, the Edo-born singer also revealed that his musical genre isn’t Afrobeats but rather a distinct category he termed “afro-pluto.” This genre distinction underlines his unique musical style and artistic approach.
In other news, On October 17, 2023, Shallipopi made a surprising revelation about the launch of his own record label, Plutomania Records. While he is signed under the management of Dapper Music, Shallipopi has introduced two new artists, Zerryl and Tega Boi, as part of his new record label.
His announcement of the record label and the introduction of new artists suggest that Shallipopi is poised to extend his dominance in the mainstream music scene.
