Nigerian singer Seyi Shay has opened up about why she isn’t married to the father of her child, despite maintaining what she describes as a healthy and supportive relationship with him.
Speaking in a recent episode of With Chude, hosted by media personality Chude Jideonwo, the Right Now crooner explained that the reason behind their decision not to tie the knot is purely “technical.”
According to her, the father of her child, who is also Nigerian and works in the music industry, currently resides in the United Kingdom. Despite the distance, she said they’ve found a rhythm that works for them as co-parents and friends.
“It’s a technical issue, you understand? But he’s great, he’s cool, he’s around. He’s Nigerian, he’s in the UK at the moment, and he’s also in the music industry on the corporate side of things. We just work together, raising our child and we are great friends,” she said.
