Nigerian Artist and activist, Seun Kuti decided to go the unconventional route to show his loyalty to his wife, Yetunde Anikulapo-Kuti.
Seun Kuti took to his Instagram on the 21st of December to post a picture of his hand which had the name of his wife, Yeide tattooed on it.
He than explained why he prefers tattoos and not a wedding band to show he is married. He revealed that he hates jewellery and that people who have to mine for these precious stones used in making diamond rings do so under harsh conditions.
“Stop talking about what u don’t know. Diamonds and tattoos are forever. Many of you will take your ring off to go do rubbish, Na lie? I hate jewellery! Too many of us motherland people are killed and enslaved for these so-called precious stones. I can’t DRIP in the BLOOD of my people!”

Seun who is the son of Late Fela Kuti and his wife, Yetunde have a daughter called Adara Anikulapo Kuti.
