Seun Kuti Reveals Why Didn't Perform at 2019 Grammy AwardsSeun Kuti has taken to Instagram to reveal why he did not perform at the 2019 Grammy Awards.

The artiste who had been billed to perform at the Grammy‘s was no where to be seen on Sunday night.

Seun who is the son of late Nigerian music legend, Fela Kuti, said he could not perform because he had a flight ticket mix-up.

Seun Kuti was also nominated for the category of Best World Music but he lost to South Africa’s ‘Soweto Gospel Choir‘.

He also went on to apologize to fans, adding that he and his team won’t give up.

    The ‘Black Woman‘ singer wrote:

“First and foremost I have to say I am sorry to all the fans that tuned in to see us perform yesterday but didn’t.

“I had the weirdest ticket mix up in history meaning I missed my flight and the rehearsals and we couldn’t go on.

“Big up to Soweto Gospel choir a group that has also inspired me. @fatoumata_diawara__ for holding down our show without me.

“Our entire team we must keep banging the door till they let us in.”
