Seun Kuti praises Fireboy DML’s talent and humility
Nigerian Afrobeat legend Seun Kuti has publicly expressed his admiration for Fireboy DML, highlighting both his talent and respectful nature.
During an appearance on the ‘Zero Conditions‘ podcast, Seun Kuti shared his positive experience with Fireboy, who had personally reached out to him for a collaboration on his album.
Seun Kuti praised Fireboy’s humility, noting that the young singer made the effort to call him directly to request a meeting, demonstrating a deep respect for his elders. He contrasted Fireboy with other artists, whom he described as lacking respect and having “empty brains.”
The podcast hosts agreed with Seun Kuti’s assessment, further endorsing Fireboy’s exceptional talent and humility. This endorsement from a respected figure like Seun Kuti is a testament to Fireboy DML’s growing reputation in the Nigerian music industry as a talented and respectful artist.
“Fireboy DML is so respectful and he displayed the traits of a true talent unlike some untalented artistes that snub to hide their deficiencies.”

Kuti further asserted that Africans are destined for servitude in the temple rather than admission to heaven.
He remarked, “Revelations has already made it clear that African people would never make it to heaven. Only 144,000 people from the 12 tribes of Judea will enter the real heaven. The rest will go there to serve in the temple. So, slavery has already been secured for you again.”
During the podcast, Seun also reflected on his relationship with his father, whom he considers his favorite person in the world. He acknowledged that while his siblings might have different views on their father’s parenting, he personally felt that Fela was an amazing dad.
