Sergio Ramos turn down lucrative Al-Ittihad offer and agrees to join Sevilla.
According to reports, Sergio Ramos has verbally agreed to resign from his old team Sevilla and is now on his way back to La Liga.
The former Spanish international’s two-year deal with Paris Saint-Germain terminated at the end of the previous season, making him a free agent.
Ramos‘ potential transfer to Saudi Pro League team Al-Ittihad, where he could have reconnected with former Real Madrid teammate Karim Benzema, has been heavily rumoured. Fabrizio Romano, however, asserts that he has consented to sign a brief contract with Sevilla.
Ramos, who spent two seasons in Sevilla’s senior team at the start of his professional career before joining Madrid, will return to Spain. It has been 18 years since he left Sevilla to sign for Los Blancos.
Before signing a contract with the Spanish club, the 37-year-old will have a medical.
