Buzzing Nigerian rapper, Odumodublvck caused controversy recently with a remark he made regarding Asake and Olamide topping the music charts.

He jokingly remarked that he does not understand why Olamide and Asake are keeping their song at the top of the music charts.

In a now-deleted tweet, Odumodu made this claim and said he was unsure of their motivation for ousting other musicians.

The singer of “Declan Rice” claimed that because they have already achieved success in life, it is frustrating for them to still be vying for the top place with other up-and-coming artists.

The rapper removed his tweet when fans started bashing him after the message offended others on social media.

Odumodublvck wrote; “I no know wetin Olamide Baddo and Asake dey gain as dem dey that number one o. People wey don already make am for life. mscheeew!!!”

Meanwhile, Twitter Influencer Daniel Regha believes Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy should not be lumped in with Olamide, Wizkid, and Davido.

When compared to the three artists described above, the social analyst believes Burna is still a rising star.

Regha made the remark while appearing on Doyin’s Corner, which is hosted by Big Brother Naija star, Doyin David, remarking that while OBO, Baddo, and Machala were the hottest performers on the scene, Burna was nowhere to be seen.

He also stated that Olamide has more hit songs than the majority of them, which is why he finds it amusing when people mention Burna before the YBNL founder.

According to Daniel Regha, there is a set for every artist in the industry, and although other musicians may have gained popularity around the same time as the “Odogwu,” it just so happened that he did.

The well-known Twitter user continued by saying that the Last Last singer is not in the same set as Wizkid and Davido in the same manner that one wouldn’t put Tubaba on the same list as them.

Speaking about the success of Burna, Regha attributed it to the streaming age, claiming that if well-known artists from the past had released music now that streaming services are available, the majority of their songs would have become successes.

He said; “Burna is still an upcomer compared to Wizkid, Davido and Olamide. When those artistes were popping, Burna was nowhere to be found…Burna is mostly popping now because he is in the streaming era.”
