Controversial street-pop star Portable has once again inserted himself into a trending social media drama, this time weighing in on the heated clash between online critic VeryDarkMan (VDM) and comedian Mr. Jollof.

The two public figures made headlines earlier this week after a video surfaced showing them in a physical scuffle aboard a commercial flight.
Their confrontation, which quickly escalated, forced airline officials to deboard both men for violating the company’s zero-tolerance policy on disruptive behavior.
Reacting to the viral scene, Portable wasted no time offering his own colorful commentary. In a typically animated video, the Zazu crooner mocked Mr Jollof for struggling during the altercation and accused him of resorting to biting to defend himself.
He didn’t spare VeryDarkMan either, suggesting that despite his size, he failed to land any meaningful punches.
Portable also revisited an old claim that he had once been approached with ₦100 million to fight VeryDarkMan, an offer he famously turned down because he felt the amount was too small.
In part, he said:
“I see where Verydarkman dey jollof Mr Jollof. You see your enemy for ground you no fight am; you see am when e dey board, you no fight am, why you dey fight am inside plane? E come use blow dey jollof Mr Jollof. But Mr Jollof energy cover your body. Your body just big for nothing. See Verydarkman wey dey wan give 100 million Naira make e fight me.”
Portable’s remarks have since added yet another layer to the ongoing online frenzy, fueling debates about celebrity conduct and the chaotic culture of viral confrontations in Nigerian entertainment.
“I hear say Mr Jollof turn Verydarkman body to chicken dey chop am, see someone they want to give 100 million to f!ght me, your body is just big for nothing, you even sabi throw blow.” — Portable shades VDM😭💔 pic.twitter.com/jelD3mYeK9
