In 2023, Sarz continued to solidify his reputation as a hitmaker, leaving his mark on the music scene by producing notable tracks such as Crayon’s ‘Ngozi‘ featuring Ayra Starr and BNXN’s ‘Gwagwalada‘ featuring Ayra Starr & Kizz Daniel, among other records.
Asake maintained his dominance in the mainstream throughout the year. He achieved this with the release of his sophomore album, ‘Work of Art,’ which spawned chart-topping hits like ‘2:20,’ ‘Lonely At The Top,’ and ‘Amapiano’ featuring Olamide. Notably, the latter track earned a 2024 Grammy nomination for Best African Song Performance.
Gunna enjoyed a commercially successful 2023, marked by the release of his album ‘A Gift & A Curse,’ which featured the smash hit ‘Fukemean.’ Sarz will be the second Nigerian artist to collaborate with Gunna in 2023, following the rapper’s surprise appearance on the remix of Victor Thompson’s hit gospel record ‘This Year (Blessings).’
Anticipation is high for the collaborative effort between Sarz, Asake, and Gunna, with expectations that it will showcase the brilliant fusion of their talents. The song is poised to join the ranks of Nigerian cross-over records, adding to the growing list of successful global collaborations.
