Samklef criticizes Seun Kuti in controversial voice note
Music producer Samuel Oguachuba, widely known as Samklef, has harshly criticized Nigerian singer Seun kuti in a recent voice note.
The outspoken blogger, known for his candid opinions on celebrities, accused Seun of being a “noisy singer” who heavily relies on his late father, Fela Kuti’s legacy.
Samklef claimed that Seun Kuti has failed to earn genuine fan support and resorts to attacking other artists out of frustration.
He compared Seun to his iconic father, suggesting that Seun has not built his own legacy but instead continues to live off his father’s achievements.
Samklef noted that Fela Kuti, whose father was a clergyman, established his own reputation without relying on his father’s influence.
In a scathing remark, Samklef called Seun a fool and vowed to continue his criticism until Seun stops targeting other artists. He even mocked Seun’s collaboration with Bob Marley’s son, calling it “Afronoise” in contrast to Fela’s pioneering Afrobeat.
This is not the first time Samklef has publicly criticized Seun Kuti. Previously, he condemned Seun for supporting VeryDarkMan and questioned his musical abilities, dismissing Seun’s work by stating, “You can’t even compose music; you don’t have any hit songs that we know. At least I have many hit songs. Your father faced politicians; stop seeking validation.”
