The current African Player of the Year continues to make a difference in people’s lives despite his demanding schedule on the field of play, particularly in Senegal. In his hometown of Bambali, Mane built a public hospital last year, and provided funding for families, schools, and other projects. He also gave to the Senegalese National Committee to aid in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
“I’m really happy to be a guest tonight. Sometimes I’m a bit shy, but I’m really happy to do what I can do for my people to make things better,” Mane said after picking up the award.
