Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Runtown has made a grand return to the music scene with the release of his much-anticipated extended play, Soundgod Fest IV.

The six-track project, which serves as the fourth installment of his acclaimed Soundgod Fest series, sees the star delve into themes of love, betrayal, and resilience, wrapped in his signature fusion of Afrofusion, R&B, and dancehall.
Coming off a hiatus following his 2022 album Signs, Runtown delivers a project that feels both nostalgic and refreshing, reaffirming his place in the ever-evolving Afrobeats landscape.
The EP opens with the emotive Mood Swings, a soulful reflection on love’s unpredictable nature, laced with velvet vocals and rhythmic layers. This is followed by Mon Bébé, a romantic blend of Afro-R&B grooves and French lyricism that showcases Runtown’s melodic sensibilities.
Fan-favourite Do Me, first released in April 2025, makes a return on the project, this time fitting into a broader sonic narrative that amplifies its emotional weight. End A Man provides one of the most thought-provoking moments on the EP, sampling Bow Wow’s classic Thank You in a reflective exploration of loyalty, pain, and moving on.

A major highlight is Dangerous Hearts, which features British singer-producer Mr. Hudson. Originally recorded during the Signs era, the track finally sees the light with a cleared sample of Sade’s Sweetest Taboo. The result is a haunting yet cinematic experience that has already struck a chord with listeners globally.
The project, which was initially due out on June 13 but pushed forward to fine-tune details, also builds on the momentum created by lead singles “Flow” (released in December 2024) and “Do Me.”
With production handled by top-tier collaborators, Soundgod Fest IV is lean and deliberate—each song carefully crafted to highlight Runtown’s matured sound and storytelling evolution.
Fans have responded with enthusiasm, praising the EP’s emotional depth, clean production, and Mr. Hudson’s standout feature. Available now across all major digital platforms, Soundgod Fest IV not only marks Runtown’s return but re-establishes him as one of Afrofusion’s most refined voices.
With this new offering, Runtown proves that even in a rapidly shifting soundscape, authenticity, quality, and artistry still hold power.
