    • Barking at Davido won’t fix Nigeria – Ruggedman

Ruggedman Speaks Out on Davido Nigeria Economy Controversy

Veteran rapper Ruggedman has spoken out in defense of Afrobeats superstar Davido following criticism of the singer’s remarks about Nigeria’s struggling economy.

Davido recently advised Americans against relocating to Nigeria due to the country’s economic challenges during a podcast interview. His comment sparked widespread reactions, with some accusing him of tarnishing the country’s image.

Reacting to the controversy, Ruggedman backed Davido, asserting that the singer’s observations reflect the reality faced by many Nigerians.

The rapper called on the government to focus on addressing the nation’s economic woes rather than condemning individuals who speak out.

Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) account, Ruggedman wrote: “Ok, Davido has said what he said. Moving forward, the government should fix Nigeria so nobody will say such again. All this barking all over the place is not fixing the nation. The hardship is too much.”

Ruggedman emphasized that criticizing Davido does nothing to alleviate the current economic hardship, urging leaders to prioritize solutions that improve the quality of life for citizens.

The veteran artist’s remarks have sparked further debate on social media, with many echoing his sentiments about the dire state of the Nigerian economy and the need for urgent reform.

Ok Davido has said what he said, moving forward the government should fix Nigeria so nobody will say such again.
